Biography and career[]
Ali Chen developed an interest in writing when she was still a child. She studied at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she completed a Bachelor's degree in Scientific and Technical Communication. In 1996, Chen also studied Acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Chen registered herself at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in 1993. Since then, she has been a member of various theater acting groups. Chen has also appeared in several TV shows like Franklin & Bash (with Reed Diamond), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Castle (with Stana Katic, Penny Johnson Jerald, and Don McManus). She has also appeared in films like War Dogs and Legally Blonde.
Chen also works as a director, writer, and producer. She has written and directed numerous short films. Chen is also an improviser and sketch comedy performer.
