Biography and career[]
Hywel Simons was born in Neath, a town in Wales, United Kingdom, but was raised in Porthcawl. He started acting while a pupil at Porthcawl Comprehensive School, before he went on to study at LAMDA.
Simons began his professional acting career with a recurring role on Roughnecks. He appeared on the show from 1994 to 1995. After that, he has appeared in shows like The Bill, Casualty 1907, and Poldark.
Aside of TV, Simons has appeared in films like Enigma, Shakespeare in Love, Wilde (with Stephen Fry), Dante's Daemon, and The Gospel of Us.
