Abat was a terrorist associate of Habib Marwan in New York during Day 4.

Abat spoke over the phone to one of Marwan's subordinates, Hikmat Palpatine, moments before Marwan began to record his speech to the American people at about 1:22am. Hikmat reported his conversation to Marwan, and then began to assist with the filming of Marwan's speech.

- Because Marwan and Hikmat immediately discussed proliferating the recorded speech throughout the East Coast by dawn, it is likely that Abat was a computer expert or technician.
