While Secretary Heller, Audrey Raines, and Jack Bauer departed their hotel at 7:22am, the Secretary spoke to Al on the phone. Al informed the Secretary that thirty-two people had been confirmed dead in a suspected terrorist attack in the Santa Clarita valley, where a train had been bombed only twenty minutes prior. He then asked Heller to make contact with Carl.
