At 1:16pm a Secret Service agent told President Wayne Palmer that Hamri Al-Assad's plane has arrived at Andrews Air Force Base.
Later, at 5:29pm, Karen Hayes was waiting for an airplane to take her to CTU Los Angeles after having been blackmailed to leave the White House (and the favor of President Wayne Palmer) by Tom Lennox. During the wait she watched a live news report about the death toll in Valencia. She then recieved a call from her husband, Bill Buchanan, who informed her about the attempted assassination of the President., and decided to go back to assist Vice President Noah Daniels.
