Biography and career Edit
Ariel Mirabal-Ramos was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He began attending high school in Coney Island, but moved to Florida at the age of 15. When he was 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving five years. After that, he worked as a federal civilian for the Department of Defense where he traveled abroad working alongside the Combatant Commander.
While traveling, Mirabal-Ramos took up an interest in filmmaking and began creating his first featurette. In 2005, Faded, written and directed by him, was selected to be screened at a Hollywood, California film festival. This experience prompted him to moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
Mirabal-Ramos began his Hollywood career appearing in several shorts. His first mainstream opportunity came with a small appearance in ABC's Ugly Betty (with Alan Dale and Tony Plana). He followed that with appearances on Big Shots (with Paul Blackthorne and Randy J. Goodwin), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette and Chris Mulkey), The Ex List, and Melrose Place. After his appearance in 24 on 2010, he went on to appear in CSI: Miami and Three Rivers (with Brian Goodman, Sprague Grayden, Devika Parikh, and Rick Ravanello).
Mirabal-Ramos has also starred on films like Multiple (with Jeff Kober), AmerAsian, and Great American Dream.
