Biography and career
Aykut Hilmi was born in London, England. He has Turkish heritage, while his mother is from Rome, Italy. Hilmi said in an interview with Life of Yablon that he "never had someone to look out for me or to give me good advice when I was growing up". Hilmi developed an interest in sports, playing basketball for Londo when he was 18 years old. He was also a semi-pro boxer and a professional dancer by 25.[1]
Eventually, Hilmi decided to pursue a career as an actor. He has appeared in numerous TV shows, films, and theatre plays. Some of the TV shows he has worked are MI-5, EastEnders, and Dinotopia (with Shiloh Strong). Hilmi has also appeared in films like War Machine, Mamma Mia!, The Quiet Storm. In theatre, he has appeared in plays like Aladdin, Macbeth, and Saturday Night Fever.
