Bob Gunton played Ethan Kanin, the successor to James Heller as the Secretary of Defense during Season 6 of 24.
Gunton also has a long filmography of film and TV appearances, notably his recurring appearance on Desperate Housewives. He is best known for his role as the sardonic Warden Norton in The Shawshank Redemption, in which he costarred with Jude Ciccolella, Mark Rolston, and Paul McCrane. He is also well known to theater audiences as originating the role of Juan Peron in Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical Evita on Broadway.
