Unbeknownst to Cheng, Jack rigged the building with C4 explosive, planning to destroy the circuit board as soon as Audrey was safe. However, as the trade was happening Mike Doyle engaged Cheng's men, which led to a firefight between them and CTU troops. A helicopter was hit with a missile, Cheng escaped and Jack was unable to detonate the building. Audrey was then questioned in the motel before they left to go back to CTU.
