Biography and career Edit
Callum Keith Rennie was born in Sunderland, England, to Scottish parents. However, he and his family moved to Canada when he was four years old. After graduating from Strathcona High School in Alberta, Rennie dropped out of college and started taking odd jobs around Toronto and Vancouver, and eventually settled in the latter.
Rennie became interested in acting while working at the campus radio in college. He started his career on stage, and performed in various plays in Canada. His first performance on a film was in 1993 in the film Purple Toast. After that, he has appeared in films like TimeCop, Men with Guns (with Gregory Sporleder), Excess Baggage (with Leland Orser), eXistenZ, Memento, and Paycheck (with Colm Feore).
Rennie has also appeared in shows like The Marshal (with Michael Massee), and The L Word (with Mia Kirshner). He has also had regular recurring roles in shows like Californication (with Evan Handler and Carly Pope), The Firm (with Geoff Pierson), The Killing, Battlestar Galactica (with Katee Sackhoff), Due South, and Fifty Shades of Grey (with Maximilian Martini).
Role on 24 Edit
Rennie played the role of Vladimir Laitanan during Season 8 of 24. Laitanan was the leader of a Russian arms-trafficking ring and a fugitive. Rennie appeared in three episodes and was credited as a guest star.
