Christian Homer Mulkey, Jr. (born May 3, 1948; age 75) played Doug Knowles on Season 7 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Chris Mulkey was born in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He began his acting career in 1976 when he appeared on the film Loose Ends. Early in his career, he appeared in Sylvester Stallone's blockbuster First Blood as one of the abusive town deputies.

Other films in which Mulkey has appeared are The Long Riders (with Nicholas Guest), 48 Hrs., The Silencer (with Jaime Gomez), Broken Arrow (with Bob Gunton), The Fan (with James MacDonald, Eric Bruskotter, and Said Faraj), Behind Enemy Lines (with Maury Sterling), Bulworth (with Kirk Baltz), Radio (with Riley Smith), Cloverfield, The Purge, and Captain Phillips (with Max Martini and Corey Johnson).

Aside of films, Mulkey has appeared in numerous TV shows. He was a regular on the TV series Twin Peaks, along with Ray Wise, from 1990 to 1991. He has also had recurring or regular roles in shows like Bakersfield P.D. (with Tony Plana), Any Day Now, Friday Night Lights (with Connie Britton), and Saving Grace (with Bailey Chase).
