Christopher Stapleton (born February 18, 1971; age 53) played Clarke in Season 5 of 24. Clarke was a Secret Service agent who assisted in the arrest of Charles Logan.

Biography and career

Christopher Stapleton was born in Springfield, Illinois. He attended Griffin High School where he was part of the theater club. In 1989, Stapleton received a full football scholarship to the University of Michigan. After sustaining a foot injury that sidelined him for the season, Stapleton focused on acting instead. Throughout his college theater experience he was the lead in several productions including, The Time of Your Life, As You Like It, Andromache, and Our Town.

Stapleton graduated from Michigan in 1993 with a degree in Communications. Six months later, he moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in acting. Since then, he has appeared in numerous TV shows like Chicago Hope, The X-Files, NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), E-Ring (with Benjamin Bratt, Dennis Hopper, and Bob Gunton), Numb3rs (with Navi Rawat and Peter MacNicol), CSI: Miami, and Holloway Heights.

Aside of TV, Stapleton has appeared in films like Aurora, Blue Streak (with Carmen Argenziano and John Hawkes), Ultimate Target (with Michael Madsen and John Koyama), Black Friday, Rumor Has It..., Seclusion, The Bucket List (with Noel Gugliemi and Ian Anthony Dale), The 49th Line, and Crave (with Taras Michael Los).
