Conserv-Reaction was a bio-engineering company run by Theo Oswald in the graphic novel Midnight Sun. The company specialized in an oil-eating bacteria that could be used to clean up spills, which made it popular with both the oil industry and environmental groups.

More than two years before the events of Midnight Sun, the company donated heavily to mainstream environmental groups. One of these was G-PACE, which was then headed by Matt Doehring.

Oswald provided Kristen Doehring with an updated version of the bio-mediation bacteria, modified to use as a weapon and render the oil field of the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge inert.
