But then the FBI receives a phone call threatening the release of a deadly virus if Salazar isn't released from prison within 6 hours. As CTU races to locate the virus, Jack realises that the only way to prevent additional terrorist demands is to find the source of the virus by breaking Salazar out of prison himself. But it's soon evident that the kidnapping is part of a much larger plan, for every time Jack thinks he's averted disaster a new and more ominous plot is uncovered.
