Dale Spalding was a Secret Service agent during Day 4.

Spalding was the agent that was assigned by Walt Cummings or President Charles Logan to apprehend and then kill Jack Bauer. He was given his orders in secret, and thought he had killed Bauer. He was quickly escorted out of the room so that Tony Almeida, Michelle Dessler, and Chloe O'Brian could fake Jack's death.
