David Hunt

David Basil Hunt (born December 10, 1953; age 70) played Darren McCarthy during Season 6 of 24, taking the role over when Eddie Izzard had scheduling conflicts.

Biography and career

David Hunt was born in England. He is a graduate of the Advanced Program at Julliard School. Hunt was a school teacher and coach before moving to New York to study acting with Larry Moss. When he was 34 years old, he met actor, producer, and director Clint Eastwood, who took Hunt under his wing. Hunt credits Eastwood as his mentor and best friend.

During his career, Hunt has worked on TV shows like Numb3rs (with Peter MacNicol), Castle (with Stana Katic), and Mad Men. He also worked on films like Jade, The Dead Pool, and Liz & Dick.

Hunt is married to actress Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves Raymond. They have four children together.
