Dick Kyker (born November 19, 1946; age 77) was the property master for the first four seasons of 24.
Biography and career[]
Dick Kyker started his career in 1978, working as a property master for the TV show Hawaii Five-O. He worked with the show during the tenth season. After that, Kyker has continued working for TV shows like Knots Landing, Northern Exposure, and Viper. Aside from TV, he has also worked on films like The Waterboy, Young Guns, and Beverly Hills Cop III.
In the early 2000s, Kyker opened up Studio Props in Santa Clarita. The business offers full prop service to studios and movie ranches.[1]
Role on 24[]
Kyker was the property master for the first four seasons of 24. Two of his sons, Rob and Rick, also worked as property masters on the show. Dick made two cameos on the show:
- In "Day 1: 3:00pm-4:00pm", his photo was used as the character of Robert Hamur, one of the suspected associates of Ira Gaines being shown to Kim and Teri Bauer.
- In "Day 2: 10:00pm-11:00pm", he appeared as one of the bikers that drove past Kim Bauer as she was looking to hitch a ride.

- 24: Exposed - He shows all the weapons that will be used in the coliseum shootout, explaining which are rubber and which are real.
- Tim Iacofano talks to Kyker on the phone, asking him to get M4 Carbines instead of M16s for the Heller rescue scene during Season 4 in the DVD special feature "Lock and Load".
