Biography and career Edit

Hoffman studied English Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he received his Bachelor's degree. He completed his formal training at the American Conservatory Theatre (ACT), The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and NYU Film School.

Through his acting career, he has appeared in numerous TV shows like NYPD Blue, The Shield (with Benito Martinez), The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert), Castle (with Stana Katic), and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He has also appeared in films like Jaws: The Revenge and One Eight Seven.

Aside of films and TV, Hoffman is an award-winning playwright. He has won NAACP awards as writer/actor for his play Last Fare, and Best Play at the Edinburgh International Festival, Best Of The Fringe at the San Francisco Fringe Festival, and LA Ovation Awards as writer/actor for Uncle Jacques’ Symphony.
