Ed was an accomplice of drug dealer Zach Parker in Los Angeles during Day 3.

Ed was present in the apartment building where the deceased David Goss was last seen alive. When CTU agents Jack Bauer and Chase Edmunds arrived to investigate Goss's last known location, they encountered Ed, who told them they could go no further. Jack and Chase disabled Ed when he became hostile, but Ed shouted down the hall to warn Zach Parker that he was in danger. Chase knocked Ed out for doing this. Zach's other accomplice was killed during the shootout which ensued, and Zach himself was eventually apprehended.
