Eddie Goines (born August 16) played an NYPD officer during Season 8 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Eddie Goines was born in Jackson, Tennessee, but raised in Lakeland, Florida. Since a young age, he develped an interest in sports and grew up playing football. Goines played wide receiver for North Carolina State University from 1991 to 1995 and ended up being the top receiver in school history at the time. After that, he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. Unfortunately, knee injuries ended his professional career.

After that, Goines decided to pursue a career in acting. He started acting in New York, and eventually relocated to Los Angeles. In 2001, Goines founded the Diligent Actors Workshop in 2001, to offer coaching and training. During his acting career, he has appeared in TV shows like NYPD Blue (with Esai Morales) and Las Vegas. In 2007, Goines had a small role on the film American Gangster.

Since 2005, Goines has also written and produced several short films.
