Eric Christian Olsen (born May 31, 1977; age 39) played the role of George Mason's son, John Mason in Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Eric Christian Olsen was born in Eugene, Oregon to Jeanne, a non-denominational chaplain, and Paul, a professor of English and track coach of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He is of Norwegian descent. Olsen was raised in Bettendorf, Iowa and attended Bettendorf Middle and High School.

Olsen began his acting career in the late 90's, appearing in TV films and shows. Through his career, he has had recurring roles in shows like Get Real, Tru Calling, The Loop, Brothers & Sisters, and Hero Factory. He is currently part of the main cast of NCIS: Los Angeles, having been on the show since 2010.

Olsen is also best known for his roles in comedies such as Beerfest (with Jurgen Prochnow), Dumb and Dumberer, and Not Another Teen Movie (with Mia Kirshner). He also appeared in the 2008 blockbuster Eagle Eye (with J. Patrick McCormack, Darius Kashani, Bill Smitrovich and Anthony Azizi).

Other films in which Olsen has starred are The Thing and Cellular (with Ron Rogge and Al Sapienza). He is also one of many 24 alumni to have appeared in Pearl Harbor, along with Jon Voight, Colm Feore, Ping Wu, Raphael Sbarge, Tom Sizemore, Glenn Morshower, and John Pyper-Ferguson, among many others.
