Bill Dotson

Officer Bill Dotson was a deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He was taken hostage by Jack Bauer during the events of Day 4.

Day 4

Officer Dotson came to the gas station where Jack Bauer staged a robbery at a convenience store in Somis. Jack told the manager, Doug, to get the officer to leave. Dotson suspected that something was wrong when Doug told him he was taking inventory during the middle of the day. Before it got out of hand, Jack took the officer hostage.

Officer Dotson was put in the cooler with the rest of the hostages. While inside, he received a call on his police radio. Jack told him to report that he was on his way. While he was talking, Doug yelled for help, and the dispatcher sent more police to the scene. Later, Jack took Kalil Hasan as a hostage and left the store with Dotson and the others inside the fridge.
