Durant was a member of the Cabinet of President Wayne Palmer during Day 6.

Day 6[]

Secretary Durant was summoned to participate in a 25th Amendment proceeding when Vice President Noah Daniels challenged the Presidency of Wayne Palmer. Daniels cited Palmer's health and behavior as reasons for removing him from office, and a Cabinet vote was required.

White House Chief of Staff Tom Lennox arranged the meeting. Secretary Durant, Secretary Dawes, and Attorney General Kevin Graves were not in Washington, D.C., so they were connected to the meeting in the Presidential Emergency Operations Center through live video feeds.

Once he was connected through the videoconferencing, Secretary Durant heard testimony from the President, the Vice President, and Arthur Welton with the rest of the Cabinet. When the vote was taken, he did not raise his hand in favor of Wayne. However, overall the vote was in favor of Palmer. Though Daniels contested the vote of Karen Hayes later, this second challenge was discarded by Daniels, and Palmer remained active as President until he collapsed later on live television.
