Emily "Dorrie" Hansen was the wife of Air Force pilot John Hansen, and the mother of their children Nathan and Jenn.
Day 4[]
During Day 4, Dorrie contacted John to tell him that she and their daughter were being threatened by armed men. She told John that they would be killed if he didn't follow the orders of Nicole, his lover. Even though John cooperated, he was killed by Mitch Anderson, and Dorrie and their daughter were killed by Habib Marwan's men. Their bodies were hidden by their murderers.
A relative reported that they were missing after he visited the house and found no one home. The report was not examined in time by CTU analyst Edgar Stiles, who handed off part of his work to a subordinate analyst named Meg. Marwan and Rafique successfully distracted CTU from taking note of the importance of the report by staging a distraction: a hostage exchange of Jack Bauer for Behrooz Araz.

- The character is addressed with the nickname Dorrie. The actual first name, "Emily", is seen in an LAPD police report on Edgar's screen during "Day 4: 9:00pm-10:00pm". During the co-star credits, however, the name was listed as "Laurie Hansen".
