This article's subject relates to Season 1 of 24.

Neil Nagi was a mercenary affiliated with attempted David Palmer assassin Ira Gaines.

Before Day 1[]

At some point, Nagi was arrested by the Phoenix Police Department and had his mugshot taken. ("Day 1: 3:00pm-4:00pm")

Day 1[]

After Gaines kidnapped Jack Bauer's wife Teri and daughter Kim, Nagi stood guard over them at Gaines' compound in the North Valley, along with Eli Stram. When the assassination attempt against Palmer at a breakfast event failed, Nagi and Stram dragged the two women out of their cell to execute them, but Gaines ordered them to hold off at at the last minute, believing they might still be useful to coerce Jack into helping him. ("7:00am-8:00am")

Some hours later, Nagi was on duty at the compound's entrance when Kevin Carroll arrived in his car, secretly being held at gunpoint by Jack Bauer in the backseat. Noticing Carroll's injuries, Nagi asked him what had happened, and Carroll sarcastically answered that he had gotten into a fight with Neil's wife. Neil opened the gate and allowed him to enter.

Later, around 11:39am, Neil found Kevin Carroll tied up in the car and contacted Gaines on the radio. Once Gaines arrived, he woke up Carroll and learned that Jack was on the premises, right before Rick Allen drove away in their van to help them escape. Gaines, Carroll, and Nagi drove to the guest house to find that the family had escaped, then pursued them in their Jeep. The three of them and the other mercenaries shot out the van's tire and, after a firefight, forced them to retreat into the woods. ("11:00am-12:00pm")

During the search for the Bauers, Neil went into an abandoned structure where Teri and Kim were hiding, but left when Gaines radioed him. He was only a few feet away from finding the women. Moments later, he unexpectedly looped around back and spotted them, but Jack Bauer intervened and shot Neil dead. Jack took Nagi's radio and used it to listen in on Gaines' orders to his men so that he could lead his family to the CTU extraction point.

After Neil failed to report his position, Gaines and Carroll went to the cabin and found his body, realizing that Jack had been listening to their radio signals the whole time. ("12:00pm-1:00pm")

  • The closing credits of the episodes spell his name "Neill", despite it being spelled "Neil" in-universe.
  • The 24 Trading Card Game, and prior out-of-universe sources, gives his name as "Neill Choi", but this is superseded by the in-universe name "Neil Nagi".
