Norma Maldonado (born August 2, 1962; age 61) is an actress that portrayed a nurse during Season 1 of 24.
Biography and career[]
Norma Maldonado was born in Governor's Island in New York City to Puerto Rican parents. Her father was a member of the US Air Force. When Norma was 12 years old, he was killed in action, forcing her mother to relocate the family to Puero Rico. During those years, she became interested in acting while watching variety shows in local television.
Maldonado earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, and completed one year of Clinical Psychology at Albizu University. Later, she earned a Masters in Communications from the University of Georgia.
Through her career, Maldonado has appeared in TV shows like ER (with Paul McCrane and Eriq La Salle), NYPD Blue (with Currie Graham and Ricky Schroder), Crossing Jordan (with Zilah Mendoza and Ravi Kapoor), Desperate Housewives (with Ricardo Chavira and Doug Savant), Flashforward (with Michael Massee), and Breaking Bad (with Dean Norris).
In 2013, Maldonado had a recurring role in The Fosters that spanned two seasons. In 2015, she also had a recurring role in the show Inbetween. Maldonado has also appeared in numerous short films.
Maldonado is a member of "Women In Film" and "Find Film Independent".
