Dave Thompson reported congestion in North Hollywood and on Verdugo, due to David Palmer's appearance at Grant Elementary. Palmer's motorcade arrived at the school at around 9:15am, and he exited his car with Sherry Palmer and Mike Novick towards the waiting crowd of reporters. ("9:00am-10:00am")
Palmer's visit to the school lasted for almost 2 hours. Carl Webb turned up just before 11am, and shortly afterwards Palmer and his entourage got back in their cars and drove back to his hotel. ("10:00am-11:00am", "11:00am-12:00pm")
