Wendell Adams was the pilot of Joseph McGuckin's private flight in the graphic novel Midnight Sun. Around 1:00pm, he flew with McGuckin and Mike out of McGuckin Petroleum's airfield outside Fairbanks, then intentionally crashed the plane into the mountains north of Wiseman. All three were presumed dead in the crash.
