Version[]

This file is all bolloxed up at the moment. I think the version which was the second one overall [labeled 15:38, 2011 May 22 — 182×255 (11 KB) on my screen] is the best of them. If you agree Acer, I believe the best way of getting to it is just deleting this altogether, and you uploading it again. I don't trust the software anymore when it comes to resolving this kind of bollox, and I strongly wish there was a way to disable the "upload another version" feature. Yeah, I had the same problem when I tried uploading a new pic overtop one of Acer's yesterday. I had to do as you said and delete it complete and re-upload it. What it seems to be doing is retaining the old image, but stretching it to fit the dimensions of the newly uploaded version. I've experienced problems like this in the past, but normally it fixes itself after a few hours or a day. However it seems the problems aren't fixing themselves anymore. I agree the "upload another version" feature needs to go if it's not going to work properly. --proudhug 17:16, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry man, I often use wikiactivity and miss file talk topics. This is a problem that's known about all over wikia central, I sent it to special:contact and they said they were trying to fix it this week but there was nothing we could do till then. I've been waiting for it to resolve itself (there was a period of no-upload maintenance work the other day) but it's still crap, so yeah I'll try to upload another one with a different file name and afd the old versions.
PS just curious about your spelling of bollocks haha?--Acer4666 12:43, May 28, 2011 (UTC)
Lol, at the time it seemed like the right way to spell :P -I'll try to do a delete + selective restoration of the file, let's see if that works. Blue Rook  talk  contribs 03:58, May 29, 2011 (UTC)
Looks like this prob may have resolved itself, wiki-wide--Acer4666 12:03, June 1, 2011 (UTC)
