First Lady or First Gentleman was the unofficial title of the spouse of the President of the United States. They often serve as a figure-head for diplomatic relations, such as Martha Logan's relationship with Anya Suvarov.

While there have been five Presidents, only one First Lady has been seen: Martha Logan, wife of Charles Logan throughout Season 5. Wayne Palmer is also married, though his wife has not been seen.

David Palmer was divorced before he took office and John Keeler's wife died several years before he was elected President. The only other First Lady was Juliette Barnes, and only mentioned in the novel Veto Power.

Henry Taylor became the first First Gentleman, appearing in 24: Redemption and Season 7.
