Forum: The Situation Room > What does CRT stand for?

I was gonna make a page for CRT, the organization that always comes to deal with the nerve gas in Season 5. But does anyone know what it's meant to stand for? I always thought it was "chemical response team", but the way everyone calls for a "CRT team" makes me doubt that this PIN number-style misnomer would be used so often. I thought it may have been "chemical research in toxicology", but that seems to be a magazine? google isn't helping me here. Is it ever spelled out in the show, if not does anyone have an idea what it's meant to be (is it a real life thing)? I just think I could write the article better with an idea of what it is I'm writing about! Thanks--Acer4666 13:26, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

According to these guys, it's Chemical Response Team. I don't find it unrealistic that it's a misnomer. I've always been irked that it's "the FBI" and "the CIA" but just "CTU". The article is only added when the term is expanded to "the Counter Terrorist Unit." --proudhug 14:52, June 9, 2011 (UTC)
