As the timer counts through 9:45am, a judge is seen in private conference speaking with two lawyers. Sandra Palmer interrupts them, and insists that she speak with him immediately. The judge asks the men to leave, and when they do, he demands to know what Sandra is making a scene about. She asks for a writ of habeas corpus for an innocent man at the Anacostia Detention Facility, but he prompts her to call her brother, PresidentWayne Palmer. She insists, but Frank fears for his career if the man does turn out to have terrorist connections. Threateningly, Sandra comes close to him and says that his career will be finished anyway if she reports what she knows of the "Lombardi case." The judge appears to relent.
