The G8, or Group of 8 is an organization of the leaders of the supposedly most industrialized nations on earth.

A summit, or a meeting amongst all the representatives of the member states, is held annually. During the events of Cat's Claw, the G8 Summit was held in Los Angeles.

The main issue of this year's G8 Summit was to discuss the inclusion of China into their organization. However, their talks would be placed on hold when they became subject to a terrorist threat.
