Biography and career Edit
Gwendoline Yeo was born in Singapore, but moved to the US when she was still a teenager. Yeo attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory, graduating with honors in 1994. After that, she received her BA from UCLA before the age of 20, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Prior to her acting career, Yeo was active in a variety of beauty pageants, winning the Miss Asian America Pageant in 1995 and the Miss Chinatown USA Pageant in 1998-1999. This led to a career as a host as well as appearances in commercials.
Yeo played Dr. Kelly Lee in General Hospital from 2002 to 2006. Other shows in which she has appeared are Castle (with Stana Katic), Desperate Housewives (with Ricardo Chavira and Doug Savant), and NYPD Blue (with Currie Graham and Vincent Corazza).
Role on 24 Edit
Yeo played the role of Chinese translator Melissa Raab during Season 4 of 24. She was brought in to serve as translator between Jack Bauer and terrorist collaborator Lee Jong. The name of Yeo's character comes from the winner of an auction set up by the producers of 24. Yeo appeared in two episodes and was credited as a guest star.
