Biography and career[]
Héctor Atreyu Ruiz was born in Los Angeles, California. He is of Indian, Mexican, and Spanish descent. Ruiz grew up in a low income environment and wrestled with poverty, gang violence, and drugs around him since a young age, which led him to prison. Afterwards, he enrolled in a community college where he found his way into theatre acting. Enjoying the experience, Ruiz transferred to USC, and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Theatre.
Through his career, Ruiz has had roles on TV shows like CSI: Miami, Prison Break, NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), and Shameless. Héctor also had a role in Wanted which also featured fellow 24 actors Joaquim de Almeida, Walter Wong, and Burt Bulos.
