James Horan (born December 14, 1954; age 61) played Walsh during Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

James Horan was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He is of Irish and Scandinavian heritage. Horan became interested in acting while attending Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. When he was 19, he starred in his first play, as the Marquis de Sade in Marat/Sade. He also portrayed Stanley in an adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire that same year. After appearing in more plays, he attended the University of Iowa, where he completed a Master of Fine Arts in acting.

Horan's first TV show appearances came in the early 80's in soap operas like Guiding Light, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, All My Children, and Another World. He has also appeared in shows like The Dukes of Hazzard, Remington Steele, Dark Justice, and Baywatch.

Horan is also a Star Trek fan, and has appeared in shows like The Next Generation (with Jonathan Del Arco, Benito Martinez, and Michael Reilly Burke), Deep Space Nine (with Alexander Siddig), Voyager, and Enterprise (with John Billingsley and Connor Trinneer). He met his wife at a convention for the show.

Aside of TV shows, Horan is also a prolific voice actor for video games, having at least 67 such roles since 2000.
