Jason Keane was a coroner's assistant working at the Forensic Science Lab of the Los Angeles Department of Coroner. He had long, curly hair, and was working the night shift the day of Trinity.

Jason answered to Harry Driscoll at around 7:07am, who had arrived with the body of Sam Collins. Harry demanded that the autopsy took place immediately, but Jason explained that he was just an assistant and the night-shift coroner had left early. Furthermore, the man on the next shift had called in late. Harry then phoned the supervisor, Patricia Siegman, but she refused to help. Eventually the autopsy took place.
