Biography and career Edit
Jennifer Westfeldt was born in Guilford, Connecticut to a therapist mother and an engineer father. She graduated from Guilford High School and attended Yale University, where she sang with the a cappella group Redhot & Blue.
Westfeldt began her acting career in theater appearing in Off-Broadway plays. In 1998, she had her first acting role in the show Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. She was a regular in the show, along with Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion, among others. Westfeldt has also appeared in shows like Judging Amy (with Bruce Nozick), Numb3rs (with Peter MacNicol, Max Martini, Christina Cox, and Kevin Fry-Bowers), and Grey's Anatomy.
Aside of TV, Westfeldt has appeared in several shows. She wrote and acted in the titular role of the hit independent film Kissing Jessica Stein. Westfeldt received wide critical acclaim for her performance and script.
Westfeldt has been in a relationship with actor Jon Hamm since 1997.
