John Cothran Jr. (born October 31, 1947; age 70) is an American actor who portrayed Sergeant Kiley in Season 1 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

John Cothran was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He debuted on the 1981 film Escape from New York. After that he has appeared in films like Aftermath: A Test of Love (with Zeljko Ivanek and Doug Savant), Boyz N The Hood and Poetic Justice (both with Regina King), Secrets and The Cell (both with Dean Norris), Where Are My Children? (with James Morrison), Get Shorty (with Jon Gries), Madagascar (with Keith Szarabajka), and Yes Man (with Brent Briscoe).

In television, Cothran debuted on the show Wiseguy in 1990. After that, he has appeared in numerous TV shows through his career. Some of the shows he has appeared in are Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (with Alexander Siddig), Picket Fences (with Gregory Itzin), ER (with Harry Lennix), Brooklyn South (with Neal Matarazzo), Felicity (with Janeane Garofalo), The Pretender (with Jon Gries), Touched by an Angel (with Wade Williams), Philly (with Alan Dale), The West Wing (with Devika Parikh and Faran Tahir), NYPD Blue (with Esai Morales), Charmed (with Eyal Podell), The Division (with Jenny Gago and DB Woodside), Enterprise (with John Billingsley), Without a Trace (with Bill Smitrovich), Close to Home (with Skye McCole Bartusiak), and Shark (with Randy Flagler).
