John Sanford Posey (born February 7, 1956; age 68) played Carl Mossman during Season 5 of 24.
Biography and career[]
John Posey was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1981. In 1985, he formed the comedy group, Comedia, along with a partner in Atlanta, Georgia. Two years later, he moved to Los Angeles.
At that time, Posey was originally cast as Danny Tanner in the sitcom Full House. He shot the pilot episode and then was fired when Bob Saget became available. They re-shot the pilot with Saget, but the original featuring Posey is available on the season 1 Full House DVD collection.
After that, Posey has appeared in other shows like Dallas, NewsRadio (with Stephen Root), Seven Days, Chicago Hope, Crossing Jordan (with Ravi Kapoor), Providence, Doc, ER (with Misha Collins), Boston Legal, NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), Drop Dead Diva, and Teen Wolf (with JR Bourne).
Posey has also starred in films like Manhunter (with Bill Smitrovich), Out on a Limb, Robocop 3, Thirst, Legendary, and W.M.D..
Posey is the father of actor Tyler Posey who had a starring role as Scott McCall in the MTV series Teen Wolf.
