John Pyper-Ferguson (born February 27, 1964; age 52) played a prison inmate involved in a riot with the character Peel during Season 3 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

John Pyper-Ferguson was born in Mordialloc, Australia. His parents were Olympic swimmer Kathleen (née MacNamee) and Richard Ferguson. After a few years, his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. He attended Handsworth Secondary School, and later graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance.

Through his career, Ferguson has appeared in numerous shows like Night Heat (with Jeffrey Wincott), Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (with Tzi Ma and François Chau), The X-Files, ER (with Paul McCrane and Eriq La Salle), The Division (with Cleavon McClendon III), Lost (also with Chau and Henry Ian Cusick), Fringe (with John Noble), and Longmire (with Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips). In 2014, he became part of the supporting cast of the TNT cable TV series The Last Ship (with Maximiliano Hernandez, Bill Smitrovich, Ravil Isyanov, Bruce Nozick and Tracy Middendorf).

In recent years, he has also had lead or recurring roles in Alphas (with Sean Astin), Deception (with Tate Donovan), Burn Notice, and The Last Ship. He has also appeared in films like X-Men: The Last Stand, Wolves, Drive, Tekken (with Ian Anthony Dale and Tamlyn Tomita), Pearl Harbor (with Jon Voight), and Unforgiven.
