King's Liquor's was a liquor store on Soledad Canyon Road, not far from Route 14.

Day 2[]

Kim Bauer arrived at the store before midnight of Day 2, and tried to use the payphone outside. She found the store shut but the owner, Frank Davies, let her in to use the bathroom. At that point Ramon Garcia arrived at the store with his wife, and wanted supplies for his trip to the mountains. When Frank wouldn't let him in, Ramon smashed through the door with a shopping trolley. Frank tried to wrestle him out of the store, but Kim pulled a gun to end the scuffle. Ramon took the gun from her, then began to get supplies.

Ramon demanded to pay for his goods, and Frank was serving him when the police arrived. Frank went for the gun, but in the struggle for it he was shot in the stomach. Ramon then held Kim hostage to prevent the police entering. Kim tried to save Frank, but he died. The police besieged the building, and Kim managed to escape out of the back door. Ramon was left alone, and the police entered and shot him. He was taken away in an ambulance, while Kim confessed to the events of the day to the police. Background information and notes[]

  • The name of the real shop that was used for filming was "Village Market & Liquor", and its sign is clearly visible in the episodes. However the 24 team placed a large "king's crown" neon light decoration, and its proprietor Frank Davies identified it as "King's Liquor" in dialogue.
