Czikowlis was on duty when CTU administrator Ryan Chappelle was rushed to the hospital after collapsing during a threat assessment meeting. While taking stock of Chappelle's condition, Christopher Henderson introduced himself, identifying himself and Chappelle as agents with the Department of Homeland Security. Henderson gave her what little he knew of Chappelle's medical history, saying that they weren't close and he had always seemed healthy. Explaining the sensitive nature of their work, he asked to know where his blood work would be processed, and she wrote it down for him.
Unknown to Czikowlis, Henderson switched Chappelle's blood sample with a fake, ensuring that she would be unable to diagnose his condition as a barbiturate overdose. Chappelle remained comatose until the next morning, when Jack Bauer arrived at the hospital and forced Czikowlis at gunpoint to revive him. Operating under the assumption of an overdose, Czikowlis administered a gastric lavage and successfully revived Chappelle from his state. Jack left after obtaining from Chappelle the name and address of Talia Gerwehr, a consultant for CTU's mission to apprehend Zapata.
An hour later, Nina Myers and Deputy Marshal Dan Pascal questioned Dr. Czikowlis about Jack's visit and what Chappelle had told him. Though still shaken, Czikowlis clearly respected Jack for helping save her patient's life. (Chaos Theory)
