Dr. Linzer was the surgeon of Tony Almeida at Good Samaritan Hospital during Day 3.
Day 3[]
Dr. Linzer operated on Agent Almeida after he was shot by David Gomez. Linzer called Michelle Dessler, Tony's wife, to get permission to perform the vascular repair surgery that Tony required. Michelle watched him perform surgery for a few moments from her computer station at CTU Los Angeles.
When Tony was out of surgery, Linzer notified Michelle. He told that the bullet did not cause any nervous damage, and she could expect Tony to make a full recovery. Michelle finally visited Tony at the hospital, where Linzer was observing Tony to make sure he stayed stable. The surgeon told Michelle that Tony might be able to return home the following day, and could be on his feet in merely a few more days. Linzer was asked to leave the recovery room while Michelle and Tony discussed privileged CTU matters, but returned when Tony (who was restless when he heard that Gael Ortega's cover was blown) tried to get up. Michelle then signed Tony out of Dr. Linzer's care.
