Lisa Marie Joyner was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She was adopted as a child.
Since the 90's, Joyner has worked as a host and reporter in various shows and news programs. Aside of her work as a reporter, she has also appeared in several films and shows, usually playing news broadcasters. Some of the films she has appeared are Bounce, America's Sweethearts (with Eric Balfour), and xXx: State of the Union.
Joyner has been married to actor and comedian Jon Cryer since 2007. They have a daughter, which they adopted in 2009.
