Louis spoke informally with Jamot, a member of the delegation from Kamistan, about the arrests happening in Jamot's country. Jamot defended the decision of President Omar Hassan, even though one of his own cousins was among the apprehended. As they spoke, Tarin Faroush arrived and interrupted, taking Jamot aside. Dalton was disturbed by this, but Jamot did his best to diffuse the situation and leave without making it too obvious that he was being arrested.
Louis was invited by President Taylor to a meeting with all of the other delegates after many of them began to question the peace agreement. The President spoke to the assembled delegates and was successful in convincing all of them to remain on board. Dalton came and congratulated her, but asked for more details, mentioning the special relationship between the US and the UK. She confided in him that the Kamistani traitors weren't just planning a coup, but to purchase nuclear fuel rods on American soil.
A prominent scene featuring Minister Dalton was from "Day 8: 9:00pm-10:00pm" (and featured in the deleted scenes of the DVD special features). In it, Dalton directly confronts President Taylor as she addresses the delegates in an emergency meeting. He politely interrupts her, and voices his concern that Taylor is condoning Omar Hassan's apparent violations of human rights as he leads a string of harsh arrests of persons suspecting of supporting the Kamistan splinter cell... one such suspect is fellow UN delegate Jamot. If Hassan doesn't stop, the UK and other countries will walk out of the peace talks. Rob Weiss and Ethan Kanin are very uneasy. Taylor tries to walk the thin line of allaying their concerns without compromising American national security, and her speech seems to work.
