Dornan and his team were part of an investigation of a series of technology thefts. By Day 7, their prime suspect, Tony Almeida, abducted Michael Latham. He was present in the briefing with Larry Moss shortly after 8am. About an hour later, he helped coordinate an FBI sweep of the Columbia Building in search of the sniper that murdered Gabriel Schector and his bodyguard Ari. Dornan also had his subordinate Kilner keep Jack Bauer in custody on orders from Renee Walker for a time during the sweep of the building.
