Mark Joyella is a general assignment reporter for Fox 5 news in New York City. He grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut and graduated from Emory University with a degree in history and political science. A history buff, Mark is an avid reader and a long-distance runner, twice having completed the New York Marathon.

- A self proclaimed 24 fan, his appearance during Day 6 stems from the time he spent on set interviewing actors such as Kiefer Sutherland and Roger Cross while they were filming the season in Los Angeles. He regularly posts behind the scenes information on his Fox5 blog.
