Biography and career Edit

Maurice McRae was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He received an undergraduate degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. It was there that he developed an interest in acting while studying pre-medicine. Eventually, McRae went to Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, and completed a Master's degree in 2006.

Through his career, McRae has worked in numerous films and TV shows. His first credited role was in 1994 on NYPD Blue. After that, he has appeared in other TV shows like Baywatch and JAG. McRae also appeared in the movie Making the Rules with Al Sapienza and The King.

Aside of film and TV, McRae has worked in theatre. He has worked Off-Broadway in plays like Collapse and Wild With Happy. Some of his other regional works are on Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and The Piano Lesson.
