Megan Matheson was the care of Kim Bauer during Day 2. She lived with her parents Gary and Carla at 12 Blue Tree Drive in Hancock Park.

Shortly after Day 2 began, Kim took Megan away from her abusive father. He chased them down but she had gone missing while Kim confronted her father. Kim found her, and they headed to CTU. Just when they arrived, the bombs went off and they were not allowed into the building. Megan got a seizure, and they went to the hospital. The doctors determined that Megan was being abused and they called the police. At that point, Gary arrived and scared Kim into leaving. Kim came back with her boyfriend Miguel and they rescued her. As they were leaving Los Angeles to escape from the nuclear weapon, a cop stopped them and found Carla's dead body in the trunk. He took Kim and Miguel into custody. Megan was sent to stay with her Aunt Emily in Santa Barbara. This calmed Kim down, who wanted her to get outside of the blast.
